DB “Artist of the Year”
From September 18 to November 1, 2026, MUDEC – Museo delle Culture presents “Make a travel deep of your inside, and don’t forget me to take”, the first solo exhibition in Italy by Singaporean-Chinese artist Charmaine Poh, named Deutsche Bank “Artist of the Year” 2025.
Presented with Deutsche Bank and in collaboration with 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo Il Sole 24 ORE, the exhibition arrives in Milan following its presentation in Berlin.
The exhibition is curated by Britta Färber, Global Head of Art & Culture at Deutsche Bank.
Born in Singapore in 1990, Charmaine Poh is the youngest artist to have received the award. Through video, installation, photography, text and performance, her practice brings together personal experiences, digital technologies, memory, ecology, history and cyberfeminism.
The exhibition explores identity, the body, belonging and representation, creating a dialogue between physical and digital dimensions. At its heart is The Moon is Wet (2025), a large-scale three-channel video installation that explores Singapore’s migration history and forms of female and collective solidarity.
